March's Russian ImmersionLast month's Saturday Club Social was true Russian immersion! I felt like we were in a little corner of Moscow. The Saturday Club Social was held at Vera's wonderful home. It was a warm and cozy atmosphere to be sure.All the 'trimmings' of a Russian home were there. The home was decorated with Russian style and flair. We watched the Russian TV channel. We were also introduced to her dog that was born in Russia and only understands Russian commands! Thanks so much Vera for opening your home and sharing with all of us.
There's an American cliché that seems to fit into the Saturday Club Social culture: "Expect the unexpected." We always "expected the unexpected" good news announcement or introduction. As expected (or unexpected), we introduced John and Julia Goping, an Encounters International newly wed couple.
As part of John's dedication to the process, he learned to speak Russian. He made a perfect Russian speech with his wonderful 'American' accent. Check out the slide show below for a look at John and his lovely wife, Julia. We all wish them the very best for their bright future together.
Yet another unexpected is the arrival of Encounters International "alumni" with new children, or 'mladentsi' in Russian. This time we welcomed Mark and Tatiana Sinisgali. Mark and Tatiana are featured in the Encounters International Handbook of Knowledge as the "Most Romantic Couple." It's a great feeling to know that we had a small part in bringing their wonderful son into the world!
Now that we have wrapped up the March review, it is time to announce the plans for the April Saturday Club Social. House Warming Party at Ken Myers' April 26, 2003
If you have attended a Saturday Club Social in the past, there is no doubt you have met Ken Meyers. He's the Encounters International "Social Director" at-large. Whether Ken is coordinating events at local establishments or in his own home, he always makes everyone feel welcome.
In fact, he took his house off the for sale market so that prospective buyers would not interfere with Saturday Club Social planning. That is a man with a warm heart.
Ken proceeded with the sale of his home and had relocated. Now, it is our turn to warm his new home. He has again opened his home to provide a welcome to us. It is a long standing Russian tradition that the more people that attend a house warming party, the more luck the host will have. Let's pack Ken's home with people and his life with good luck at the same time!

Encounters International has ten years of personal and professional networking at our disposal. With more than 300 Russian and Ukrainian ladies, the 'network' is extensive! They have found their new life, family and even (in some cases) career in the United States. Although successfully integrated into the American society, they each still carry their unique experience with them into the working place.
One such woman is Svetlana Hardy. You can read more about her by following the "about me" link on her card below. She is the wife of Frank Hardy, one of our most lovable clients. Svetlana is truly a woman with many talents.
Thus, it is only fitting that I inaugurate a new feature on our web site with Svetlana's help. This remarkably efficient woman recently brought the idea of professional networking to my attention.
The "Encounters International Networking" web page starts right now. EIN is a resource for allowing the "family of clients" to network their professional abilities.
From time to time, I'll introduce you to both professionally and personally accomplished women (and men for that matter) from the Encounters International "family of clients." Please check back here and help our ladies establish themselves professionally while allowing them to build up their career.
Stories of success benefit everyone. Ladies that are still in Russia or Ukraine will learn that many unbelievable goals can be reached once with their husband in the United States. It helps their comfort level when making the difficult decision to leave home, family, and friends.
