May Saturday Club Social at Ken Myers'It seems that the weather this year reminds the type of weather that we, Russians, used to complain about in Russia. Last time, in May, the Saturday Club swimming pool party never took place in the swimming pool. Swimming pool administration called me a couple of hours before the beginning of the party to inform that they were closing the swimming pool due to the rain and thunder storm. Fortunately, our dear Social Director, Ken Myers came to the rescue. He suggested to redirect the party to his home. Also, fortunately, he lives not far from the pool and many of us had attended his "House warming" party in April. Ken, thank you for being such a generous and gracious host! As usual, we all enjoyed your hospitality, your jokes and the ability to make everybody feel at home. Below are some photos taken at the party. It is remarkable that our socials became a favorite place to socialize for Russian ladies from different generations, like mother-daughter generations. At the last social I have had a chance to meet two such "mother-daughter" families. They are the Lebeds (mother Tatiana and daughter Olesia.) and the Zhuravliovas (mother Inna and daughter Natalia). (See pictures below). I welcome all of you and I will be happy to see you again at our next social Saturday, June 28, 2003 at the rescheduled swimming pool party. It's

This year's event will continue to offer a chance for
the seasoned veterans, alumni, and those starting their quest to meet
and exchange valuable information and offer support. In addition, this
year we will have a number of new Russian ladies who have recently joined
Encounters International. Those ladies that were accepted are wonderful
examples of Russians in America! We welcome the newest members to the
Encounters International "Family of Clients" and to the "Annual
Barbecue & Pool Party!"
