Opening of the Year 2008 Party

First, I would like to start by saying that 2007 was a remarkable year in the life of Encounters International. Our family of clients continues to grow. David and Larisa, David and Marina, Charles and Alla, Keith and Galina, Jeff and Nadia, Jim and Elena happily tied the knot in 2007. Scott and Natalia, David and Lidia, Marty and Anna, James and Natalia and a few others whose names I missed, are anxiously waiting for the arrival of their fiancees in this 2008 year. There are couples, like Hal and Masha, that renewed their vows in 2007, 10 years after they met through Encounters International and were married in 1997, and couples that plan to do the same on their 10th wedding anniversary in 2008. Finally, there were quite a few new babies born in EI families in 2007, like Sofialena in Torches family. They are the most treasured additions.

I want to thank those Encounters International members who send me photographic updates and news about major events in their lives. It means a lot to me and to all the clients. Your success translates into confidence of many people who are taking the same road now that you took some years ago. We are proud of your success and we want you to know that.

Our End of the Year social was a show case of Encounters and it's clients accomplishments! First and foremost, it is the relentless enthusiasm of our social leaders Luis and Dave that reached its crescendo at the social. I know that while in Kiev spending time with his fiancee in December, Dave kept calling Luis trying to coordinate numerous details of the social. It says a lot! Dave and Luis, let me repeat again how much we all appreciate your work on behalf of all of us! May this New 2008 Year bring you as much joy as your big hearts can hold.

I appreciate all the clients who came to join us at the party and especially those out-of-state folks. I was happy to meet some of you for the first time and I am sure that it will help me to find a good match for you in the nearest future (unless you have already found one at the social)... As it is usually the case at Encounters International, the end of one party is the beginning of the other. I am happy to announce that our January Saturday Club social is hosted by Walter Blair. Walter likes to say about himself that he works hard and plays hard. A Maryland attorney by day and a party goer by night he had been a soul of many EI socials. Now he opens his house for EI crowd and invites everybody to to meet and enjoy life in his home entertaining center.
