Encounters International Announces New Database
Ladies from Throughout Russia Invited to Join
The Russia of today is quite different that what I recall when I lived there. A private industry driven economy, personal freedoms, and world wide technological advancement have been good news for my homeland. One thing that became apparent is a proliferation of personal computers and broadband Internet connections among ordinary Russian people.
Recent studies have shown that, today, 12 of every 100 Russians have a personal computer. In 1990, that number was less than one person per 100! The 'connected' Russians have access to the same Internet and web sites that we enjoy here. We have become much 'closer' thanks to technology.
As a result, Russian ladies from all regions of the country are also looking to the Internet to seek and ultimately find their soul mates. I have received numerous requests (via e-mail) from Russian ladies wanted to be accepted as Encounters International members.
It's no problem if they are located near one of our offices. They simply follow the screening and interview process like everyone else. The problem is what to do with ladies that do not live near Moscow, Yaroslavl or Kiev. Nobody from Encounters International is able to properly meet and screen these candidates. Traditionally, I have been turning down anyone outside these three metro areas. All our clients expect only screened and 'real' ladies to be available in EI database.
In fact, some of my clients have come to Encounters International after being scammed by unscreened Russian women whose mailing or e-mail address they purchased elsewhere. The scam is usually the same. After some 'canned' correspondence, she asks for money to get a visa and a ticket to visit the USA. The unsuspecting suitor wires $1,000 – 2,500 to her, or to a "travel agency" of her choice. She has professed her undying love, so why would he suspect anything. After the money is received, she simply disappears in cyberspace together with her travel agent! Some large-scale scam operations have been uncovered and prosecuted by both Russian police and American FBI. So maybe the proliferation of personal computers in Russia is not always such a good thing.
Of course, not every Russian lady with a computer is a scam artist. The best rule is just don't send money. If she asks, be suspicious. The average Russian lady cannot get a tourist visa to visit the USA. Period. Also, in my opinion, the concept of pride is very essential in Russian culture. It is against cultural norms and traditions for a woman to complain to a virtual stranger about hardship and lack of money. Please keep it in mind.
So, Russian ladies outside our coverage area want to become members. I can't possibly screen them all. Yet, some may have unsavory motives. I believe the majority of the contacts I receive actually legitimate and from ladies that have taken charge of their destiny. A slight compromise is on order at this point.
To that end, we have set up a secondary database that is open to everyone—clients and visitors alike. This database is populated with unscreened ladies that initiate contact with Encounters International, yet do not live near our offices.
Each new lady that inquires about Encounters International is presented with the normal membership process steps. These steps include personal interview in one of our offices, passport check, references and other pertinent screening procedures. However, our secondary database concept allows her the choice to be listed in our free-for-all database without any screening.
The ladies that you see in our secondary database are displayed in chronological order received. This is time sensitive information that needs to stay fresh. Therefore, the latest 25 ladies received will be displayed in the database. As a new lady's information arrives, it will appear at the top of the listings. The bottom listing will rotate out. Listings will change as often as we receive new information. Therefore, it is important to visit frequently and print the details when you initially visit the database.
Again, the ladies you see in the secondary database are not screened. They have opted not to be interviewed for whatever reason. Be cautious and use common sense if you decide to contact them. I urge you to let me know personally if you observe something that does not 'seem' right. I will err on the side of caution—removing her immediately—rather than enable a scam artist.
Also, you should assume that she has probably provided her personal information to more than one Internet site. You may see the same photos elsewhere. There, you may be asked to pay a fee for the contact information that we will freely share with you. Encounters International does not sell addresses.
It is important to mention that the primary, secure database that is exclusively available to my clients will not be changed. Only carefully screened ladies will be placed in this database. Encounters International clients expect a certain clientele to be available here. That will not change in any way!
Further, our male clients need to know that the ladies in the secondary database will not have access to your personal information. The gentlemen's database is secure and will not be opened to outsiders (as unscreened non-members). This compromise is a one-way street. Everyone will see the ladies' contact information. But, they will not be permitted to see your information!
Finally, most of these ladies provided their phone numbers. I decided against publishing this information for obvious reasons. However, I can call these ladies on behalf of my clients if they want me to.
I think that it's a good idea to show a side-by-side comparison of the secondary database (containing free addresses) and Encounters International Membership. I simply ask you to look at the table below before proceeding. Then, go ahead and make contact with the ladies in the secondary database.
